The Maiden Calms The Storm

He rumbles low
With hale breath

Moiling clouds
Seethe and whisper

Silence, anon wrath.

The sky bleeds black air
Sullen and nailed too low

She peers into the bulging mistral
And but for a moment
Calm prevails and
Violence departs in a burst
Of alien sun tethered end to end
From tempest to earth.

Her gaze, deceives even the gale.
