‘mold me, make me’

“mold me, make me”
we sang through
clenched teeth among
the realms of lighter
souls and the persistent
brushing of angels’ wings
against these narrow halls.

you and i and you –
we wed ourselves to a
host unseen – with lanterns
burning dim.

despite the pomp
i am merely a
clay pot in the
wake of your
careless destruction.

  1. Wow. This has a religious meaning it seems. Even tho I no longer go to mass, I feel like remembering being the one thinking everyone else as more holy than I.
    But I could be wrong.
