butterfly remorse

you wrapped

me in a green

leafy cocoon

but i escaped –

with endless chewing

and giggling wriggling  –

out into this

big wide world

spread open

before me.

a nearly endless

sphere from

here to there

in zig zags

and bouncing

dances i pressed

on into what

ended up being

just another,

larger, cocoon.
